This morning the president of the Extremadura Triathlon Federation, José Manuel Tovar, the Herrera sports promoter, Alejandro Alcázar Serrano, together with the mayor Saturnino Alcázar Vaquerizo, met at the town hall.
At the meeting he discussed the “II Playa de Peloche Triathlon” and everything that concerns the preparations and organization of this sporting event, which for the second time will be held in the Herrereña district, for the mayor, “this sporting event is a perfect showcase for Peloche Beach, and also for the La Siberia Biosphere Reserve, since the environment where the competition will take place is spectacular, combining the water of our reservoirs, with the nature of our mountains and which also puts into value our municipality.
This test already has its date in the regional calendar, it will be held on Sunday, June 4 from 10:30 in the morning with an estimated completion time at 2:00 p.m. in spring distance triathlon mode. As a novelty this year it will be part of the Extremadura Triathlon League.
It is expected that this sporting event will attract mass participation of many athletes, being relevant for the municipality and the entire region, an event that manages to consolidate itself for the second time in the calendar of activities of Herrera del Duque and which has the sponsorship and support of the city council through its Sports Delegation, the General Directorate of Sports, Badajoz Provincial Council, in addition to having the support and collaboration of different local entities.
The tests will be regulated and controlled by the Officials of the Extremadura Triathlon Federation, which will be supervised and under the control of the Competition Committee that will be created for said competition and will be subject to the competition regulations of the Spanish Triathlon Federation.
